This dataset supports a research article, which has been submitted for publication. Dataset on tomato farmers from a framed field experiment. Collected over two weeks in November and December 2025 in 24 villages in eight counties in rural Kenya. Contains information about treatment assignment, public goods game contributions, willingness to pay (WTP), WTP as a share of revenue from tomato farming, WTP as a share of total labor, respondent’s age, respondent’s education, household size, land size, off-farm income, livelihood perceptions index, asset index, farmer group membership, value chain participation (sales channel), personality traits (self-perceived risk aversion, time preferences and trust), scale and causes of tomato damage and loss, biowaste management practices, experience with biochar, collective and personal efficacy and outcome expectancy, climate change beliefs, perceptions and experience, trust in how well the respondent and other actors are dealing with consequences of climate change, and biowaste and biochar policy preferences. Includes 84 variables and 541 observations.
